The Evil Empire Strikes Again!!

The Boston Red Sox reversed the curse and that has made me happy for about two years.
I have been holding it in for a long time but I have to say it now: It is over for the Boston Red Sox this season!!

They made no trades or acquired players during the pennant chase and will now pay for it during the "dog days" of summer. Varitek is out, Wells can not pitch, and now the Red Sox with a chance to gain on both the White Sox and the Yankees lose two in a row to the hapless Kansas City Royals. The momentum is now with the two AL Central teams (Twins & White Sox) and the Yankees (aka Evil Empire) will get Sheffield and Matsui back in September.

It is hard to say but the Yankees will win it all this year and it really makes me mad!! Pudge Rodriguez is going to have to pull the Tigers together to work the magic in the ALCS. Here are my predictions:

Yankees, Tigers in the AL
Yankees as AL Champs

National League (as if it matters)
NY Mets, St. Louis
St. Louis as NL Champs

World Series NY Yankees in Five
